The Barbara Mendes Gallery presents Snow Mack's whimsical narrative paintings and Kevin Mack's otherworldly digital sculptures and images. Snow and Kevin also created 3 collaborative paintings for this exhibit. This is the artist couple's first two person gallery show together.  

Kevin and Snow met at Art Center College of Design in 1980 and have been inspiring each other ever since.  They've worked together as award winning visual effects artists in the movie business, written and performed music for their art band "The Fringe", and fervently pursued their individual fine art practices while raising their two sons over the last three decades.

I created "Helical Happenstance" using a combination of procedural rule-based techniques and volumetric sculpting. 

These are photos of the actual 8 inch tall 3d print in polyamide nylon.

It is so amazing to experience this impossible object in the physical world!
