I am fascinated by creative technologies and the opportunities they create to cultivate and collaborate with emergence - the fundamental creative process underlying all phenomena. The interplay of emergent discovery with intention provides both the method and the subject of my work.
I investigate the creative process, perception, and the nature of reality. The combination of generative systems with manual practices allows me to balance emergence, intention, intuition, and improvisation.
I produce large-format prints, digital displays, physical objects, and virtual worlds to emphasize the informational basis of both the virtual and the physical. I render abstract forms with the fidelity of the physical world to make them simultaneously familiar and indeterminate. My intent is to create works that challenge perception, inspire awe, and engage the mind in entertaining existential inquiry.
